Let's play a 5-a-side soccer Florentine tournament

   The new season is finally starting, we already have a number of new players on board (only three in the last 24 hours!) and we are having fun in and outside the pitch. It is now time for planning. As some of you perhaps know, we are thinking to take part to a tournament 5-a-side in Florence. We are in touch with CSEN (here more info: http://www.calcioa7.it/dettaglio_news.php?news_ID=76). The tournament starts at the beginning of November.
 
   Thus, here it comes the proposal: we would like to know who among you would like to join the tournament. This will go in parallel with the normal activities of the Mad Cows, therefore you’re not obliged to play if you don’t want, and you can simply keep on coming to the Mad Cows trainings at Schifanoia. And, of course, you will be warmly welcome to come to the matches and cheer the Mad Cows up!

   But if you are a brave warrior (or a Torita) and you are eager for playing and winning against other teams, this is what we are talking about: games are once per week, either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. They take place in the evening, between 18:00 and 22:00, somewhere in Florence (it wont be far away and in any case we can organise ourselves with cars, this wont be a problem).

   Apart from that, we think that it is important to have a special training where we can practice and do exercises and build a proper and competitive team. We will decide which training day will be mainly dedicate to do exercise. This day will be mandatory for those who want to play the tournament and voluntary to the rest of the Mad Cows. There is the possibility to train also Saturdays morning. So: two days for all the Mad Cows and one day for those who play in the tournament.

   As for the inscription, the EUI will pay the team fee, but each of the players need a medical certificate and need to pay for it: the cost is 40 euros. For this, we contacted the doctor who makes the certificate for Squadra Fantastica and he will be available next Friday 11th to come to the EUI and make the certificates. We will give your more details about what, where and when next week.

   Think about it, get convinced and join us, it is going to be a lot of fun (and mug, and rain, and beers after the matches!!!) We need you answers by this Sunday, at maximum Monday morning, because we have to confirm to the doctor and proceed with the inscription.    La nuova stagione è iniziata e vogliamo iscriverci a un torneo di calcio a 5 a Firenze! Siamo in contatto con lo CSEN, il loro torneo inizierà a novembre e si giocherà una volta a settimana, infrasettimanale, tra le 6 e le 10 di sera. I campi non dovrebbero esser lontani ed in ogni caso ci organizzeremo con le macchine. Iscriversi non è obbligatorio, si puo’ continuare anche semplicemente a giocare con le Mad Cows, ma a noi piace l’idea di giocare (e vincere!) contro altre squadre. Perciò se avete voglia di sudore, fango, pioggia e birre dopo le partite, iscrivetevi!

   In termini pratici, vorremmo organizzare un allenamento “tecnico” una volta alla settimana per chi fa il torneo, in modo da fare degli esercizi e imparare nuove cose. Decideremo tutte insieme quale giorno fissare questo allenamento in aggiunta alle partite tra le Mad Cows. 

   Per iscriversi al torneo c’è poi bisogno di un certificato medico; questo non lo paga l’EUI, quindi ognuna deve far per sé. Il prezzo è di 40 euro. Ma siamo in contatto col medico della Squadra Fantastica e abbiamo intenzione di chiedergli di venire il prossimo venerdì 11 e fare la visita e il certificato a tutte.
